|CD REVIEW Teodor Tuff|
Band : Teodor Tuff
This is a very strange album, let me start by saying that. It is very hard, if not impossible, to put this album in a subgenre, since it has so many styles and influences. One time you think you’re listening to a progressive band, the next moment it goes in the direction of symphonic metal, and then there are also the traditional metal elements, as well as some classical influences and - sadly very limited – Middle Eastern sounds.
It’s a bit like listening to a blend of Therion with Masterplan and Nighthwish it’s that diverse. Now this seems to be the second release of this band, but not much, if nothing of the line-up they recorded the first album with is left, if not for the founding member Teodor Tuff, who also give his name to the band.
What’s for certain is that the singer Terje Haroy is a vocalist I’d like to hear more of. I really hope these guys soon bring out a new album, because I was very pleased with this one.
