CD REVIEW Trixter

Release Date : 20/04/2012
Release : CD

I remember hearing Trixter’s first album some twenty odd years or so ago.  Their self titled debut was one of the great albums of the early nineties.  The follow-up album ‘Hear’ wasn’t too bad either, but was released in a period where grunge music had taken over the rock scene.  As a result, Trixter, like so many other rock bands in that period threw the towel.

In 2007 the band re-emerged, and now, some 5 years later, they’ve released this album.  And what a great album it is.  It sounds very 80ies, yet with a fresh energy.  It’s as if they’ve never been gone.

If you were a fan of this band 20 years ago,  run to your local record store and buy this album.  It kicks, it screams, it rocks.  And then to see that the band consists of the original 4 members on top of it.  They sound as if they’ve not aged a day in those last 20 years, yet musically it shows that they’ve matured.

A must buy for all fans of 80ies metal.
