|CD REVIEW Herman Frank|
Band : Herman Frank
Herman Frank released his first solo album Loyal To None in 2009, and this is his second solo album.
Being a guitarist in the original 8ies line-up of Accept, and also forming part of the actual line-up, it should be no surprise that the music on this solo-album lies more or less in the same vein as what he does with Accept which is traditional metal with his origins in the eighties, but with a modern sound to it. Fans of Accept should not hesitate and may immediately buy this album. Although the vocals on the first album were handled by Jioti Parcharidis (ex Victory, Human Fortress), who for this album was replaced by Rick Altzi (At Vance, Thunderstone), this has not had any bad effects on the music Mr. Frank is delivering us, since Mr. Altzi also has a very powerful voice.
To sum it up: this is the kind of metal you can really bang your head with. Highly recommended even if it is in no ways original..
