CD REVIEW Axel Rudi Pell

Band : Axel Rudi Pell
Album title : Circle Of The Oath
Label : SPV - Steamhammer
Distributor : Suburban
Release Date : 26/03/2012
Release : CD

It’s always a pleasure to have a new album by Axel Rudi Pell.  Not that I’m looking forward to an innovative, experimental album, but with this guy you at least know what you’re gonna get.  The music this band produces is decent, well written and performed, It’s energetic music, yet it’s also melodical.

Two years have already passed since his last studio album, but it seems less. This is already his 15th studio album, and the line-up of the band is still the same as it was in 1998. The album is available in different formats, a normal version on CD, a dig pack, which contains one extra track, a LP version (which strangely enough consists of two albums – I don’t’ see the reason why, cause the songs aren’t that long) and finally a boxset, where you get the dig pack version, the LP’s and some more goodies (poster, postcard, stickers,…).

If you’re a fan of classic hard rock, AOR and melodic metal, and don’t have any album from this band in your collection, then this one is as good as any previous albums, and you can blindly buy it.
