|CD REVIEW L’Alba Di Morrigan|
Band : L’Alba Di Morrigan
This is the debut album by Italian combo L’Alba Di Morrigan. The band saw the light in 2008 in Turin, and released its first demo in 2009.
However do not expect a band like Rhapsody or Masterclass allure. No, these guys are much more in the vein of bands like A Perfect Circle, Katatonia and Anathema.
There are nine tracks on this album, who all have that dreamy sound, with a melancholic, gloomy touch. Yet it’s not a bad album. While not being really metal, there are parts where the guitars come more to the foreplan, and make the music a tad heavier than usual.
This is definitely not a CD to play when you yourself are in a depressed mood, but rather one to play when you just want to relax a bit, and calm your mind after a stressful day at work. Or to play while you’re in a traffic jam.
