Insurrection is Molotov Solution’s third effort. Their previous album The Harbinger already dates back to 2008 and was recorded in the studio owned by Tim Lambesis (As I Lay Dying) for Metal Blade. They got a lot of attention and even then were greatly admired by many, they were obviously destined for greatness according to some people. During their existence they have encountered several line-up changes in the band and in record deals.

To describe their new record i would compare it to similar work from bands like references of other bands than the aforementioned Job For A Cowboy, like All Shall Perish and Whitechapel. So yes, it’s brutal with lots of break downs and lots of screams.

The only difference is that those other bands mentioned are slightly more technical in their music. So in some way this disappoints me because it lacks that something to make it really interesting and set itself apart from other bands. So it’s not a bad record but nothing memorable.
