|CD REVIEW Oz Knozz|
Band : Oz Knozz
Oz Knozz (pronounced Oz Ka-nozz'), has been on the Music Scene for many years, touring and opening shows for the likes of Supertramp, Kansas, Peter Frampton, Point Blank, and Judas Priest, to name just a few. In addition, they have headlined many of their own shows, building an almost fanatical fan-base over the years. In 1975, Oz Knozz released their first album, Ruff Mix, which, incredibly, is still enjoying worldwide sales! The band took some time off during the 90's, but is back and better than ever, with the June 2008 release of their album 10,000 Days & Nights, and more recently True Believer (2011).
Although there is quite a lot of good guitar/organ soloing, there is little self-indulgent, endless jamming. Their musical approach shows similarities to Asia, Kansas, Styx, Journey and even Dream Theater. Great progressive symphonic rock and well worth investigating if you like music that borders 70’s pomp rock and progressive symph rock.
